When I saw this album cover, I seriously thought that this was a total joke. I assumed that someone out there had made an over-the-top photoshop just to make fun of an often mocked sub-genre of music, and I decided I wasn’t going to fall for it. I was going to do my research and find out if this was real.
I regret to inform you that not only is this absolutely real, but all of the album covers here are also real. No parodies here, and while maybe a handful of these albums qualify more as “Gospel,” there’s no denying that they’re all baffling.
(And I had no idea ventriloquist puppets were so popular in this sub-genre.)
