A certain photo has been making the rounds for a few years or so now, and we found it both interesting and totally disturbing. We’ve dissected the list of symptoms AKA the “Reasons for Admission” to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
This particular list is dated 1864-1889, so smack dab in the middle of the American Civil War. Fun times. We’ve collected some of the most ludicrous symptoms from the list. I truly hope history doesn’t repeat itself on this one, I’m guilty of quite a few.
