Nine Inch Nails white polo shirt is tearing the internet apart

Nine Inch Nails is an ‘industrial alternative rock’ band (thanks Wikipedia) from Cleveland, Ohio. Founding member, Trent Reznor is known for his electronic synth rock as well as his dark and tortured lyrics.
After a quick Google search, I can say with some confidence that Reznor has never been caught wearing a polo shirt. So what are we looking at here? The band merch pictured above has caused quite a stir on the internet.
