Anyone who has ever been roped into doing a couples’ costume come Halloween time knows the dread of being the lamer of the duo.
Oh, you want to be a cool, sexy moth so I’m stuck with a lampshade on my head all evening? Great.
A well-executed couples costume will have both parties feeling and looking awesome in their own outfit individually, with the effect being multiplied when (but not reliant on!) the two costumes are beside each other.
