Beavers
If you find yourself traveling the land in which the bishop of Quebec rules over then we’ll have you know beaver tail is allowed to be eaten on fast days. The parish asked the Bishop if the people could eat beavers on Fridays during lent (a religious time where those practicing are not allowed to eat red meat) the Bishop declared that they could indeed eat beaver for it is a fish due to the fact that it was an exceptional swimmer.
