The dead should stay dead!
Every culture has some form of myth involving vampires, zombies, witches, and other terrifying monsters that should NOT exist. Understandably, people would go to great lengths to ensure that these monsters stayed away from their villages.
One safety precaution was to make sure that the dead STAYED dead and buried. But… how did they do this? Let’s take a look.
