Imgur user Sierra says she was an anxious and nervous child. From the ages of 9 to 13, her imagination helped her cope by creating these creatures with elaborate backstories who would crawl into bed with her every night.
“I honestly miss them and like to think they are real,” she told Bored Panda. “They are just waiting for me somewhere else.”
The creatures’ names and origins are the stuff of high fantasy, and I could honestly see them being used in a book series. Sierra says her imaginary companions went away when she began a heavy regiment of medication at the age of 14, but she still remembers the mythical beasts vividly and fondly.
