Long before I landed a gig curating content for you fine folks, I was a kid looking for a first job.
I, like so many others, headed over to ol’ Micky Ds with a resume in hand. They hired me back in 2008 at the ripe age of 15, and the deal was that they’d give me $7.25 (CAD, btw) for every hour of labor I gave them.
Having never before had a stream of income, I thought it was a pretty decent deal.
