Appendix
The appendix is probably the most famous useless organ. You or someone you know has probably had to get surgery to remove the couch potato before it exploded inside of you. It did, however, once have a purpose. Scientists suggest that the appendix may have used to been a safe house for good gut bacteria, storing the bacteria incase the gut gets wipes by an illness.
