The Chivette Challenge is still coming in a bit!
For now, let’s chat.
For years, this community has been one of the brightest corners of the internet. It’s always been a happy, positive space, and we intend to keep it that way. That’s why, every once in a while, we need to hit pause and do a little course correction. So, here we are.
Over the past year, we’ve noticed a shift. A very vocal minority has started gaining camaraderie through negativity—tearing things down instead of building things up. It’s not just the occasional comment; it’s pervasive, appearing on most of the content we put out. We’ve grown used to it, and way more often than not, we’ve let it slide. But inch by inch, this negativity has brought us to a place that doesn’t reflect an iota of who we are.
And it stops now.
For example — spinning up completely false narratives, leveraging those narratives to fuel sympathy campaigns, and wielding that sympathy to attack our community and editors—culminating in them receiving hateful, dangerous, messages such as “k*ll yourselves” on their personal social channels—is a line we won’t tolerate being crossed.
There is not a single person here that is ever going to get away with that.
