Seven years ago this week, I shipped off to Great Lakes to begin my journey in the Navy. Little did I know that this would be the first of 4 straight Thanksgivings spent away from my family while serving my country.
As we take time off this week to be with those we love, please take a moment to remember the men and women of our military that will not be spending the holiday with their families.
