Hollywood magic? I think about the only thing Hollywood did on this movie was supply some actors and some money. This is New Zealand magic thanks.

You forget that without J.R.R. Tolkien this movie wouldn’t exist and New Zeeland would just be a place that the majority of the planet would never really know about.

Just giving credit where credit is due, to the Author of LR

Also remember that JRRT got his inspiration from above and was a devout catholic.

To one fan, a Mrs. Carole Batten-Phelps, Tolkien said:
You speak of “a sanity and a sanctity” in the L.R. “which is a power in itself.” I was deeply moved. Nothing of the kind had been said to me before. But by a strange chance, just as I was beginning this letter, I had one from a man, who classified himself as “an unbeliever, or at best a man of belatedly and dimly dawning religious feeling. . . . but you,” he said, “create a world in which some sort of faith seems to be everywhere without a visible source, like light from an invisible lamp.”

You know, after LOTR I really hoped Hollywood would "get it" and stop using so much fucking CGI for EVERYTHING…. Peter Jackson used CGI like a good cook uses salt.

I really miss the LOTR's movies and hoopla. I literally LIVED in my own little gekedom while the whole thing was going on. Think E Wood was the best Frodo ever. Can't believe how much work and how cool everything is on this post…also can't believe it's been 10 years!

  • Joey

It would be hard and fun at the same time to act in these kind of movies.

The best extended scene of all in the limited DVDs is the appearing of the Mouth of Sauron. HATS OFF!
