i think Andy Serkis deserved an Oscar
Hollywood magic? I think about the only thing Hollywood did on this movie was supply some actors and some money. This is New Zealand magic thanks.
You forget that without J.R.R. Tolkien this movie wouldn’t exist and New Zeeland would just be a place that the majority of the planet would never really know about.
Just giving credit where credit is due, to the Author of LR

You know, after LOTR I really hoped Hollywood would "get it" and stop using so much fucking CGI for EVERYTHING…. Peter Jackson used CGI like a good cook uses salt.

I really miss the LOTR's movies and hoopla. I literally LIVED in my own little gekedom while the whole thing was going on. Think E Wood was the best Frodo ever. Can't believe how much work and how cool everything is on this post…also can't believe it's been 10 years!
