    • Crash Knuckles

      Fuck you Paula

  • Jonathan

    Mindfuck…

  • James

makes me feel horrendously useless. i'm off to the pub to drown my talentless sorrows! happy friday chivers!

    • SkyVader

      Have one for me, buddy!

    • hMMMM

Don't feel useless. You can just whip out your camera and come out with the same thing.

      • dub

I was thinking the same thing. What's the purpose of drawing something so realistic that it could simply be replicated by a snapshot?

Don't get me wrong, it's ridiculously talented — but it's not really very loud art. They are skilled, but they're only replicating what they see to a very fine degree.

Use your skills to paint something impossible. Something that blows the mind. Something that mixes the artists thoughts with his skills. A hyper-realistic look into the imagination, in my opinion is better than replicating reality.

  • MonkeyMadness

Wouldn't it be easier to just take a picture? 😛

    • Repsol

      My thoughts exactly….

      • emilie

        But not nearly as amazing

    • http://echogeo.wordpress.com/ echogeo

Any monkey can press a button.

      • Pinko

If the monkey can speak endlessly about the importance of light then you can have a world renowned photographer.

          Favorite. Comment. Ever

    • SPEARS

      how pathetic can you be?

      • dub

Well… you're both on the computer. Typing your opinions into an online forum instead of doing something good for the world..

so… just about as pathetic as you.

        and me.

    • FoCoLivin

Totally. I don't believe that any of those are paintings.

    • Piesmagicos

"…and that is why nobody will remember your name" Brad Pitt as Achilles in Troy

  • JL13

This is amazing. Almost looks CGI. The things people do with brushstrokes.

    • j boe

      you said strokes.. xD

  • Phil

    pfft i can do better

    *goes and gets camera*

  • davey

    big talent.
I wonder how long it takes him to do one.

  • sfgsd

these are paintings….your argument is invalid

  • Da Sandman

holy sh*t, that's amazing!! :O THIS is art… making some stains and conjuring up some 'deep story' behind it isn't.

    • Sped

I found myself wondering what the purpose of these paintings was other than to say, "I can paint really fucking realistically."

    • dub

      I disagree entirely.

Art is a form that convey a message, idea, or feeling. These paintings, although absolutely incredible, don't do that any more than a photograph.

M.C. Escher is a good example. He could do this shit with a pencil, but that's not why he was famous. He was famous because he didn't just replicate the shit he saw, he CHANGED it with his imagination.

      The marbles look like marbles.

  • Derp

    Amazing…

  • kigero

    HOW. IS.THIS.POSSIBLE!

  • bubblerider86

My mind refuses to believe. O_O & wow!….

    • http://renounceapprehension.blogspot.com/ MrRushing

I wanna watch them paint one. Like #13

    • MAX_POW

Exactly…my mind only accepted #15 like a paint, you can tell because the faces aren't that real. I guess that is the limit? idk, anyway wow

    • moeshere Foxdale

      I believe hehe…in loving you…

  • Kodos

Paint us a sexy Chivette…otherwise GTFO

  • Bubba

#17 dishes in the sink are not that clean (at least not mine)…painting like a Boss though!

    • Hubba

      You meant #6

      • Bubba

        Yes I do. Tx!

  • http://www.facebook.com/dashsebright Dash Sebright

#19 is the only once I could even remotely tell after staring at for 5 minutes.

    • Ian.

you can tell with #15 if you look at the faces

      • kim

that's what i was thinking too, 15 is the only one that looks like a painting. and the tiles behind the dirty dishes

  • http://renounceapprehension.blogspot.com/ MrRushing

If these are real, I've wasted my life. #3

  • BlackMatterBeaver

I’m not this good at anything (falls to the floor and cries)

    • john v.

haha! I feel the exact same way. I've done a few paintings in my life that I was kinda proud of…. these make mine look like I'm a retarded kindergartner.

  • http://www.facebook.com/btienyam Bordin Tienyam

I only imagine to paint these, and my eyes bleed. Wonder what happen to the real painter. Specially those angles on the reflection and shadows. Dam awesome i say.

  • NebraskaGuy

The level of detail in these is amazing! Hard to believe, actually – if I didn't know these weren't photographs, I never would have guessed they were painted. These two especially: #11 #13

    • amanda

#13 the window scene reflected in the two bottles are different. what a hack! 😀

  • dorkfish

Good job, you painted a picture of a photograph

    • spears

what have you done today that was worth a damn?

      • dub

I saved the planet twice today already. You?

      • dorkfish

pulled a drowning man from the river and its only lunchtime…. FUCKNUT

  • macman1987

just take the damn picture and save yourself the wasted time.

  • Jstern123456

Ian Jackson thinks this is Amazing!!!!

  • Bud Ugly

Awesome quality. #19 is the only one where I thought it may have been a painting (and that's just because of the water in the bottom half).

  • Michael Scott

If the caption didn't tell me, I'd have sworn those are pics.
So can we now say "paintings or it didn't happen"?
