to me, it looks like he printed a picture, then traced and copied. video of him painting a picture or he copied. art fail.

  9. moose nug says:

this technique is called trompe l'oeil and these artist are frickin' incredible!

  10. MattW says:

That's great, but if you could paint hyperrealistic paintings, wouldn't you paint something completely out of the ordinary? These just look like normal photos.

  11. Greg Lee says:

#18 reminds me of andrew wyeth

  12. Justina says:

My faith in The Chive is telling me these are paintings but my logic keeps making me yell NO!

P.S. Submitting a hump day picture for every catagorie like this. You're up to two now. See you Wednesday!

  13. Ryan says:

Yeah I dont think so. I call bullshit. Painting a clear laquer over a photograph does not make it a painting

  14. RowenBellamy says:

The texture of the glass surfaces and the water are especially mind blowing to me. Such extrodinary talent!

  15. Its imposible how did he did that…………

  16. Caleb says:

That's not genius. Technically proficient, but creatively dead. There's no imagination in any of these pieces, no story. The only good ones are the last three. At least they have character.
