That pretty much just summed up my five year experience in the Marine Corps thus far!

  12. Ben says:

It’s about blind obedience in a group setting, mob mentality, yada yada. The bananas don’t symbolize anything. It’s about contextually understanding our past as it relates to our present actions. Psych 101 mumbo jumbo. Also see: migram obedience study and the Berkeley prisoner study

    This is the Marine Corps

  14. Tylor Powell says:

Yup , dumb monkeys . Occupy ladder . So many directions to go with this .

  15. AmercanGovtSuxBalls says:

The monkeys are the piece of shit, corrupt amercan govt and the bananas are marijuana. Fuck the amercan govt

  16. Ninja47 says:

The sight of a monkey going up to get the bananas became aversive because that sight was paired with the cold water. Eventually the sight of a monkey climbing up there became a warning that water was about to come. The monkeys eventually beat any monkey who tried to climb (negative reinforcement by the removal of the sight of the monkey climbing). The new monkeys were beaten for climbing so they only needed that pairing to learn not to climb up there anymore. It's avoidance of the water.

    • As A Monkey says:

So if you asked the new monkey why they dont climb the ladder, they would say "because I'd get beat up if i do." That or, "OOOh ahhhh ah ah ahhh!"
