Australian girl survives terrifying fall after bungee snaps (Video)

Erin Langworthy survived a terrifying fall with minor bumps after her bungee cord snapped during a 364 foot leap off Africa’s Victoria Falls Bridge, plunging her into the crocodile-infested Zambezi River below. Luckly, no one did anything.

      • Nathvader

crocadile infested water? cant explain that

  • Thomas Pickett

    Jump Master: "So… Who's next?"

    • bananah

made the rest of my day!! 😀

    • UDown

ME ME Can I be next??? I wouldn't have used her bungee anyhow!

  • Tim

"Oh shit. Our friend. Let's stand here and watch how things unfold."

    • Charlie_Cheen

At least it only took 1:10 of standing there filming for her friend to decide they should do "something"

    • MJ81

I guess you would have jumped down after her, the weight of your steel balls would help you make that 360 foot jump. Or I guess you would start running, would only take you 3 minutes or something to get down there and then jump in the water with the crocodiles.

You don't think that her friends were expecting there to be real qualified personnel that could help her down there?

    • Lame

"Quick, get out your cell phone and log into Facebook!"

  • myself

I saw an interview with her and she was all, well, my legs were still hooked to the bungee so I dove down and unhooked myself.

They make their ladies tough in Australia. Jesus, I can't even find one who will change her own tire.

    • anon

I can change my own tire.. and have refused help before, just to show 'em.. =]

  • Ever

    Oh snap?

  • Gh3kko

    • Yo diggity

      Half-way into the interview:
Rebecca: "I probably won't do that again."
      Reporter: "I don't blame you."

      end of report
Reporter: "One last question, will you bungee jump again?"

      • 2e1wed

        why did you ruin it!?

  • Red

and that is why you don't bungee jump in Africa

    • Asshole Aplenty

      especially over thie nile

    • Yo diggity

Because bungee jumping is much safer in other parts of the world

  • Machinist

Wow, the snapped end of the cord hits the water before she does… I notice the weirdest things sometimes.

  • Hailey

"We need to do something." Uh… no shit? I sure hope that's not how my friends would react if I were to ever be in that situation.

    • StaticFX

why the FK would they not have anyone down by the river in case something like this happened….

      • Blake

Why the fuck would they be doing it if there should be an "in case something" happened

        • MJ81

With that logic airports don't need their own fire-department.
Or shooting ranges don't need a safety distance and a wall.
          Heck, cars don't need seat-belts.

Cause you don't fly planes to crash on the airport – but it happens, you don't shoot guns to miss the target- but it happens, and you don't drive cars to get into accidents – but it happens.

          • tret20

i agree . preventative measures are there only after something happened. shitty logic

          • designit

yea, you totally missed what he was saying there.

          • Eric

Lol, FYI. Airports do have their own fire departments…

            • Eric

              I'm dumb…nvrmind

        • Moose

It's Africa, they aren't prepared for anything but civil war.

  • Damn,nature,youscary

    Erin got ate.

    • Asshole Aplenty

No, she did not, she swam to the edge of the river and got out. and no crocs were hurt in the filming of this incident lmao

      • Open minded

        That's a PETA reply!!!

  • myself

I just watched it again and realized that during the first 5-10 seconds you can see how seriously frayed all the cords are.

  • Jim

Never do extreme sports in third world shit hole countries. It's cheap for a reason!

  • Freezy

“oh mah gawd. Like. Oh mah gawd. Becky look at her butt” thats all I could get from hearing these morons. Bungie jumping in Africa. I’m sure the follow correct procedure.

  • aust[RALIA]

Really, what do you want them to do, bungee down after her? they are standing 111m above her it's not as if they can run down and pluck her out of the river

    • Asshole Aplenty

having rescue personell at the bottom might help

      • MJ81

And I guess that's what her friends were waiting for… I would have too. It's kind of expected that there are people down there.

  • A2_tha_MFK

Aussie Aussie Aussie! She didn't need help, situation was under control.

  • Winiblues

i bet when she got to the shore she cracked open a stubbie of VB with her teeth.
