Well SOPA would technically be able to shut theChive down.
They would have to remove the ability to comment and then have a lenghty time to check if any of the videos or pictures that are sent have a copyright. Meaning that everyone that sends a picture has to prove who they are and that they own the image.
The good news is yesterday's blackout seems to have done the trick. Front page of USA Today has a mention about the fact that many of SOPA's and PIPA's supporting senators have rescinded their support.
When I opened theCHIVE yesterday and saw it blacked out, too, I just KNEW that there was gonna be hell to pay – for SOPA!
