I feel like some guy is like…"American's will come and visit our pond if we dye it blue. Then they will buy our blue soda, jelly, and postcards"

    • Dan

Nope… I go there for that fine Asian ass!

  • Kevin

Plenty of ponds around here (Central and Northeast Georgia) in and around kaolin mines. The blue hole at Lake Blackshear was like this and incredibly deep and cold. We used to go there and drink beer and jump off the rope. Its that color because of bauxite.

    • 01001011

Is that south of milledgeville off 441? I could have sworn I have seen blue pond there before around some mining areas.

      • Kevin

There's alot of em around Milledgeville and Sandersville and east of Macon.

  • buwtie

    • Jawbone

And you drink from the "Suck me dry" guy. That is all.

  • soups818

We have mountain streams that color here in Colorado. Caused by runoff/drainage from all the old mines.

    • bref

We have those everywhere in the Canadian rockies as well.

  • Mel_Gibson

or maybe its because of the nuclear power plant

  • Heavyhand

See lake louise or peyto lake.
Cold but we at least know why they're turquoise.

  • TheIlluxion

There's several lakes like this in Jiuzhaigou Valley in China. Jiuzhaigou Valley is like the yellowstone of China.
