What happened to the last T-Shirt winners? We gonna be able to buy those?

    • moses

      I hope not!

  • skabarbro

    Where to submit ideas?

    • Kusig

Click on thechivery link in the message.

    • _DoC_

      Telepathically, duh…

  • iRiv

    Definitely going to enter.

  • NIXem

how about a % of the profit ,
    @ 25.00usd each (est 1000 sold yearly) = 25,000usd ,
1000 grand prize = less than 1/40th of that
just offer a golden shower as the prize, pretty much the same feeling in the end for the " winner"

    • Alex

How about being happy with winning the $1,000 you wouldn't have had otherwise? They are a business, not a charity.

      • The_Dood

"Because the Chivers have demanded to help others in need more often, we have created a new non-profit worthy of the Chivers prodigious capacity for helping others, Chive Charities. We're manning up.

In the coming weeks, we will unveil Chive Charities, theCHIVE's official in-house charity, it will be the new mouthpiece for the underprivileged, it will give a voice to the orphaned disorders of the world, and it will change the charity paradigm forever.

Too often these days, charitable donations go to bloated "general funds" and trickle down to the individual only after greedy execs and lavish overheads pluck your money. Online charity threatens the old model, as well it should, and Chive Charities will lead the charge.

For the uninitiated, few understand the core that makes theCHIVE tick, it's just a website they say, it just posts funny photos and hot chicks, right? I just smile and nod. Because I know something they don't.

      • silky

Or you could sell your idea to a real Tshirt website and make more.

    • Macro

The shirts are expensive enough, we don't need any price hikes to cover the profit margin.

    • johnny

$1000 grand prize = exactly 1/25 of that

    • N2MotoX

      1 + 1 =

Show your work for full credit!

  • kal50

I'll buy any Chive shirt that has to do with Babes, Butts and Boobs

  • Richard

I filled out the entry form page 1 and after clicking "continue" it just cleared my info and never went to page 2. Anyone else having difficulties?

  • deprydation

theCHIVE should make a Mac Faulkner "Forever Alone" mask for Halloween….

    • Mac

Shit, mac get more women than all the guys.

    • because mac

A Vote For Mac shirt styled after Vote For Pedro.

  • Greedy much?

Awesome idea… I should do this… I'll give you 1000 dollars and then sell your shirts for 40 bucks a piece and make tons of money… How about a royalty plan instead? Hell if you can really design a decent t-shirt you can have them made and printed for like 3 bucks ea like the chive and make tons of money

    • Tbaynes

People aren't going to buy your shirt unless the chive sponsors it

  • #payyourdesigner

Designer here. $1000.00 for a design? No thanks! I will however take royalties!

  • Trav1121

Wow. After reading the comments, sounds like a lotta people got up on the 'greedy as fuck' side of the bed today… Can't you just be proud that you contributed to the coolness of the community?

    • contribute to what?

That would be a great idea if they were donating the profits to charity or only charging the 4 or 5 dollars they cost to make… but "contributing" to a community does not involve getting other people rich.

    • Katlyn

agreed. who cares? if you're an actual designer it looks good on your resume, and if you're not then you're $1,000 richer. this place is a network. if you had any idea how powerful that was then you'd quit your bitchin and roll with it.

      • AnyoneForCoffee

Yeah, I'm sure you will feel exactly the same if you saw your shirt selling out after receiving your $1000 prize.

        • Trav1121

I would be very hapoy with my 1k and thrilled if people were buying my design! Very proud to see people wearing something I made. 🙂

    • Vanessa

Agreed. I'd be happy as shit just to see my design on there, and people sporting it. Chive on!

  • skabarbro

They do have a point. However, if you think your shirt will sell, spend 3000 dollars, get them printed, and take the risk yourself.

  • Dee

I uploaded wrong JPG. Is there a way to edit?

  • sup

as a designer who has enough printed shirts under my belt i will say i would be honored to have my shirt become a Chive design compared to some of the other sites that offer that same 'gift amount' of 1000$
Sadly the same an not be said for 2nd and 3rd place prize amounts…. wow

  • xzapato

you guys are cheap.. $1000 lmfao.

  • Neven

can't open link, chivery not found…

  • AnyoneForCoffee

This site has only got a few more years in it before people get bored. I suppose they do have to cash in as quickly as possible.

  • Jest Tony Gonzales

submitted…everyone else keeps having problems, i declare i win by default

  • KeepCalm

Damn… I had a few ideas pulled together then realized I can only submit one entry?! Kind of wish I didn't send in the one I did now. I had better but figured I'd send in a few.

    Well, there goes that then.

  • Ashley Elisa

Royalties people? Really? TheChive isn't doing this to support you financially. This isn't a "job". How about the satisfaction that YOUR design will be sold by one of your favorite sites? Always Money Money Money.

    • Ashley is a Cunt

Bitch, then the Chive should just give them away?

It's them getting money or the designer. Guess who is contributing the value for the shirt? Not the Chive.

  • Truth

    Business plan:

    1) Get a website
    2) Steal content from Reddit
    3) Sell t-shirts to supplement $
    4) Get content designs from website visitors on the cheap under the ruse of a "contest"
    5) Profit

    • Indeed

So why aren't you running your own website?

  • Basic

I'd be happy with $100 for an hour of computer clicks and a design that I would never do anything with otherwise. Some of you guys amaze me… Royalties. ha.

  • Kyie

Love the tees at thechivery and can't wait to see the funky designs people come up with 🙂

  • KCCO

well most of these comments are not from real chivers. crying about 1/40 or 1/25 bull poop. be happy that they are offering this kind of things, most places will just steal your design add something to the design so it's "not" copying and sell it. KCCO.

  • @GreyRazor

I love these art-house goons snubbing their noses at $1k like it's nothing. I make a very comfortable living doing web design and development, but I'm not above collecting $1k for two hours of work.

  • Teea

It won't allow me to enter me pic. It says entry cannot be saved T-T so super sadfaced… also I have three designs… I didn't know we could only enter one

*sad designer chivette hides in corner*
