welcome to the slowest rollercoaster…in the world

  • Obama Sucks

    Let's move to Switzerland.

    • LineHog

Agreed! If Schwarzenegger had any sense he would move back to Austria, this country is going to hell in a handbasket really quick!

    106% slope? I don't think that's possible…

    • darrell

      106m cimb across 100m horizontally.

    • Harvey Mushman

It means for every 100 feet traveled horizontally, it rises 106 feet.

    • Craigery

      106% slope = 46.67 degree angle.

    • Paladin

Probably because you do not understand how a grade works. It is rise over run, which is to say height over distance. 25' rise over 25' in distance is equal to a 45 degree angle or a 100% grade. A 106% grade is something along the lines of 48-49 degree rise in elevation. That is steep, to let you know, and it is 100 percent possible to have a 106% grade. Science!

    • Pythagoras

Ya, what they ^ all said!

  • Craigery

Riding this is now on my bucket list.

    #8 – that's an amazing view!
Switzerland was one of my favorite places I've ever been to in the world, and i want to go back all the time and explore more and more – such a beautiful country.

  • Obama 2012

Brothers and sisters rejoice! Our leader has risen. join us to welcome him with a new prayer: There is only one true God, his prophet is Muhammad and his friend is Ali. Thank you for helping your leader rise to greatness, go with God.

  • delliup

it better have the best brakes ever im scared already

  • Mrs. Harrison Ford

    Yes, please!

  • Reality

No need to travel abroad just go to Chattanooga TN and ride the incline railway. Same thing but with more rednecks running about. http://ridetheincline.com/

    • LineHog

Important correction needed here, hillbillies are running the damn thing in Chattanooga. Rednecks pretty much occupy all areas of the United States, but the mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky are home to true hillbillies. I'll take my chances with the Swiss.

  • Livin' Legend

Can't tell if train… or rollercoaster.

  • Perry

How about the steepest railway in the world (Guinness Book of Records): http://www.scenicworld.com.au/experience/scenic-r…. Been there, done that (in sept 2005).

  • suckitchive

106* is over vertical. where did this go over-vert?

    • suckitchive

let me be the first to correct myself. while 106 DEGREES is over vert 106% isn't. i should read more closely. the chive can still suck it, until they stop posting underage girls.

  • Deep Dish

Looks like I know what I'm doing when I go to Switzerland next year.

    How's about no.

  • Shawn

I'll be the one sitting in the back so I can use all the other people in front of me as an airbag when the breaks fail.

    • Shawn

      • Underhill

Breaks is probably correct if the cable snaps.
