#1 The dude who writes for Cracked?

    • Name

I'm pretty sure they meant John Cleese

      • Awesome

No, they meant the guy from Cracked. Great writer. Check him out.

        • http://reamers.org Handjob Murphy

Either way, why are we looking at Gene Kelly from "Singin' in the Rain"?

  • NoodlumNad

#35 im pretty sure that this means size doesn't matter to her…SCORE!

  • jbones

Doesn't seem right that you should have an epic quote from Alexander the Great and just below Katy Perry slutting it up

    • tv_paul

I wouldn't minding Katy Perry slutting it up below me. It would be the greatest present ever.

  • Red

Thought of the exact same thing when I read it Tiber.

  • FunKiller

    #21 Donuh ask….

  • BeardManly

    #27 Wasn't actually said by George Carlin…

  • ZPow

You do realize you literally just criticized Obama, right? Like, if you go outside you can see millions of bumper stickers or ask a million opinions that are openly critical? And those people will see no federal or legal reaction to being critical?

This ain't exactly fascist Germany. In a truly oppressive government, people are scared to attack their leaders. Based on virtually every comment section on the internet, whether the post is political or not (this one) it seems like people in our culture are EAGER to attack the leaders.

    • ZPow

Also, thumbs down prove nothing except: you have the freedom to say whatever you want about whoever you want. We, in turn, have the freedom not to like it.

Thumbs down only prove freedom of speech applies to everyone, not just you.

      • WordToBigBird

How did this comment get thumbs downed? It is one of the more well articulated, albeit completely inappropriate, political posts that plague this site. This guy is pointing out the most obvious thing in the world: freedom of speech is for everyone.

#1 to all the people that keep saying dont they mean john cleese to clarify no they dont as john cleese was known as john cheese when this quote was stated but changed his name later on to john cleese and yes that is a fact that is 100% true.

    • pwong

are you sure? Looking it up, it says his grandfather changed their name from Cheese to Cleese in WWI

      • pwong

        sorry his father actually

  • nuccabay

#33 hahahaha when does the new season start already??

  • Curious

#1 how is John Cleese and singing in the rain at all relevant?

  • von Mises

    #24

You mean like all liberals who are jealous of the successful? Fun quiz. Who said, "If you own a business, you didn't build that!"

  • its_forge

#27 NOT GEORGE CARLIN. He thought it was a bunch of weakass tripe. It was written by a pastor at a Presbyterian church who later got defrocked for touching little boys.

#29 Still the case in law school.
#27 Comedians are the scholars of our day.

    • grx

Comedians are the scholars of our day? You're an idiot. Who wants to read a calculus textbook or a history book written by a fucking comedian.

      • http://twitter.com/LosSaysSwag @LosSaysSwag

Is that all scholars do, write textbooks (and who WANTS to read a calculus textbook period)?

I refused to say "philosophers" because their thoughts extend beyond philosophy into other divisions associated with social commentary. Scholars are simply learned, knowledgeable individuals who are also adept at using their words to share their perspective on humanity. To ignore the insightfulness and wisdom of someone such as Carlin just because he's a comedian is foolish.

#22 Your advice is crap; your "unpopularity" resulted in your head and hands being cut off by Octavian and Antony.

    • http://reamers.org Handjob Murphy

"When did Wil ever "make it"???

      "this guy keeps getting jobs"

I think it was the "keeps getting jobs" part, was the making it, and What Not.
