On the set of “Freaks and Geeks.” There was only one season of “Freaks and Geeks” in 1999-2000 that consisted of 18 episodes. Here we’ve got behind the scene photos of young James Franco, Seth Rogen and Jason Segel.

Fucking A! This show rocked. Badass music on the soundtracks! They should of kept it going

    • Grumpy

One of the best shows ever. The sheer force of talent in this show is astounding, from Paul Feig to Seth Rogen to James Franco to Linda Cardellini to Martin Starr…I could go on and on. I still watch the whole season once a year.

  • p_rock

Linda Cardellini grew up very nicely.

    • Schnizz56

She was always an under-rated hottie.

rent Grandma's Boy. Watching her try to lick her own tit while singng Salt n Pepper is amazing

  • sean

greatest short lived show of all time

    • nuccabay

      Arrested Development

      • Cartridge

I'll see your Arrested Development and raise you Firefly

      • bob

I love AR and wished it went on longer but 3.5 seasons is not exactly "short lived". Esp when vs. F&Gs 18 eps and Firefly's 14.

        • ChristophersonofGray

          Twin Peaks!

    • Steve_French

Party Down is another good one to check out. Maybe not the greatest but a damn good show that couldn't stay afloat.

I LOVE this show! DVD is going on my Christmas list.

    • wek

      its on netflix fyi

  • Penal_Colony

One of the best shows ever made. Probably why it didn't last long. All the good ones die young.

    • Eddie

All the evil ones seem to live forever.

    • Sancho Panza

NBC didn't care. During its run they repeatedly pre-empted it and changed its time slot. What viewers it did have finally gave up. Similar stupidity occurred when Apatow created Undeclared, and the dumbasses in programming ran it against Survivor when it was at peak ratings.

  • Craigery

The only problem with this show was that it was ahead of its time.

  • Boot snacks

Never watched it but I guess it's never too late

  • Mr_Cellophane

Looks just like high school. The girls hung out with the cool guys, and we geeks hung out with each other…even off set. The only difference is that now these cool guys have careers, and the geeks, not so much. In real life it is the opposite.

    • _DoC_

Correction: In *Hollywood* it is the opposite.

    • PJX

I, too, was hoping for more pictures of the geeks and freaks hanging out together. Also, the geeks are all still acting or doing something. Maybe not movie stars, but either character actors or on television.

    • Craigery

The "geeks" from the show all have pretty good acting careers now as well.

  • Rick

#6 James Franco and Seth Rogen are so high

  • Canucks_Rule

#1 – never seen the show, but that is quite the cast. a lot went on to do big things.

  • PnB

Quite possibly the best show ever. It still makes me sad that it was only one season.

  • Deep Dish

Freaks and Geeks, this world didn't deserve you.

    • PnB

Correction: NBC didn't deserve Freaks and Geeks.

  • Turd F.

Linda Cardellini is in my top 3 most beautiful famous women.

    • Grumpy

The dance she does in the last episode is so nice.

  • Laura

#19 The main person I think of when you say Freaks and Geeks is John Francis Daley (the one upside down). He grew up quite nicely into Dr. Sweets on Bones. Love this show! Another 1 season wonder that I need to own.

  • Lexie

I liked this yesterday on buzzfeed…

  • SaltLakeChiver

#24 – Isn't that the kid who pretended to be an Asian guy? I think it was "Not Another Teen Movie" where he did it.

    • Turd F.

      I confuse…

    • Boxman

      Yep. Samm Levine.

One of the best shows EVER. Such a classic, and captured my high school experience a little TOO well.

  • nuccabay

never seen the show, but i bet it getting cancelled was the best thing for those 3 guys careers…it may be a great show but they are all legit big time movie stars now

    • Jahnny

That's because Judd Apatow, who created this show, is behind most of the mainstream comedies these days. I guess Franco is the exception though seeing as spiderman is what made him famous

  • KRS1

Never got the hype behind this show. Sure some of the acting was good but it was waaaay too preachy.

  • Kato

    #16 I'm not a little girl… I'm the Bionic Woman!

  • what

Was Mark Ruffalo also in this? #6

  • Chiefs420

    Great fuckin show

  • horncusker

Judd Apatow's show – it was great

  • ezp

I think my favorite episode was when Rashida Jones came in. Sucked james franco's thumb. I'm jealous of both! aha
