Now that I’ve gotten you all excited about aliens, I want to teach you a little about the Fermi Paradox. Basically the Fermi Paradox states that given how common planets are, the universe should be full of intelligent life. But when we look out into space, we find no evidence of it.
Our galaxy, the Milky Way contains roughly 400 billion stars with 20 billion sun-like stars. 1 in 5 have an Earth sized planet in the habitable zone. Even if only 0.1% of Earth sized planets residing in habitable zones have life, that is still millions of planets in just our galaxy.
