World War Two was one of the darkest chapters in human history; a chapter that we’re still trying to recover from 60 years later. The legacy of all the battles, the camps, the rebuilt cities all over Europe, stand as a testament to all the horror that the war brought, and there’s still secrets and facts that people are discovering. For example, a secret French bunker that was used by Hitler.
Urban explorer Marc Askant has made it his mission to capture places before they’re gone for good or too hard to find, to ensure that their stories and histories aren’t lost. Recently, he heard rumours of an old Nazi bunker called the Wolf Canyon hidden in the forest and went out looking for it. He shared his photos on Facebook, and man, is this place creepy. I wouldn’t want to go down there alone. I’d be afraid to see what I’d find.
