In November of 2016, Indiana residents Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton were just two strangers. Until they weren’t. As the viral story goes, Wanda sent a text to a number which she thought belonged to her grandson.
As fate would have it, her grandson had changed his phone number and the text was delivered straight to Jamal. The rest is history.
As they ready themselves to celebrate Thanksgiving number 9 together, it’s clear the two have gone from strangers, to friends, to family.
