Smoking is cool, and I don’t care what anyone else says.
I don’t smoke cigarettes, but I enjoy a nice cigar, and I’m not shy to smoke a bit o’ the hippie lettuce.
Something about smoking just looks cool. It’s rebellious yet sophisticated, and there’s an air of confidence attached to it.
The aesthetic itself has a cool look: the moody lighting, the literal smoke, the exhale… I’m all for it.
Smoking is also dying out in movies. There was a time when it was a symbolic element to the film’s narrative itself, helped to illustrate the “bad boy/bad girl” persona, and I’ll say it again… IT LOOKS COOL.
Just seeing a female character leaning up against the wall, lighting up a cigarette, told you everything you needed to know…
Hollywood ran on cigarettes for like 50 years. It’s a dying symbol, but here are some actors and actresses who rocked the on-screen smoke.
