theCHIVE community has been around for over 16 (?!?!) years. Ever since the first blog post in October 2008, there have been fans brought together by comedy, beauty, cat memes and pure randomness. The togetherness found here has shaped online acquaintances, life-long friendships, and even marriages. We’ve been around for long enough to not only have shared thousands of laughs but also shared the loss of beloved members of our community. A few years ago, we started a day to remember the Chivers we’ve lost along the way – November 13th – National Chivers Remembrance Day.
Some were Chive Nation chapter administrators or members. Some were frequent commenters. Some were even Chive Charities recipients who were welcomed into our community with open arms.
It’s been a couple years since we’ve honored those who had a part in making this community what it is and impacting some of the very people reading this post. There are many, many more not captured here. Please feel free to share any Chivers in the comment section who we’ve lost since 2023 with a name and photo and we’ll edit this post to include them.
To the ones we’ve lost. You will all be missed dearly. Thank you for brightening our days.
