‘Back to Dunder Mifflin’: Celebrating 20 years of ‘The Office’
On March 24th 2005, the Pilot episode of The Office (U.S.) premiered. I don’t think anybody knew that the show would reshape comedic television as we know it. The Office revolutionized the single-cam ‘mockumentary’ style of TV. It wasn’t always 100% perfect, in fact there were times early on when the show looked like it wouldn’t be renewed.
However, the writer’s room was filled with talent such as B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, not to mention Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais of The Office (U.K.)
It’s hard to keep a good dog down when episode directors included, J.J. Abrams, Joss Whedon, Paul Feig, Harold Ramis, and Bryan Cranston just to name a few.
Today, we’re celebrating 20 years of The Office.
