Zach: You’ve been a Chivette for a long time. What was the first thing that brought you over to theCHIVE?

Poppy: So I had heard of theCHIVE when I was in college, 2009 to 2013. I didn’t know that you could actually post. But what brought me over was – I’m sure you know Elizabeth Monarch – she was like, “Hey, you know you can make a profile here, get verified, and share a bunch of content.”

And so I made a profile right away, and sent a little email to get the verification and then everybody was just so overwhelmingly nice. It just became one of my go-to places to post as much content as I could all the time.

Zach: That’s been the kind of theme that we’ve been hearing – the community is such a tight-knit, overwhelmingly positive organization. In terms of interacting in the comment section, what do you find that you like about it? What’s your personality there?

Poppy: I try not to be a troll anywhere on any sort of professional account. But if somebody says something particularly nice, then I just like giving that energy back.

Zach: Yeah, I think that’s a good way to be.
