Gone But Not Forgotten – Remembering The Chivers We’ve Lost
“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us” – Helen Keller
For over 17 years, people have frequented this tiny page on the internet. What once was just an idea to entertain a few friends and family became a safe haven, an escape, and a meeting place for millions. The uniquely positive and welcoming community that emerged out of theCHIVE was rooted in the kind and generous nature of the very people that fired up the app everyday to talk with fellow community members in the comment section. What followed was offline meetups, life-long friendships, romantic relationships, and even music festivals. On and off this website, Chivers have shared countless laughs, hugs, and tears. And in those 17 years, we’ve also lost some of the best from among us.
Every year around November 14th – Chivers Remembrance Day – we remember the ones we’ve lost too soon. Feel free to chime in down below if we’re missing anyone you’d like to remember.
