True Story: When I was growing up, our family toured a house my parents were thinking about buying with a secret chamber behind a bookcase that was literally perfectly sized as a hideout for kids. I remembered being so enamored by it, and very disappointed we didn’t end up in that house (though, the house we did move into totally fucking ruled).
I found out later the reason we didn’t move in was because an inspection revealed there were termites throughout the house, so my parents had their reasons.
But goddamn if the kid in me from back then didn’t come rearing out putting this post together.
