17-year-old girl lands plane with one wheel in the face of immense pressure

Maggie Taraska, 17, was making her first solo flight from Maine to Massachusetts when a mechanical issue led to her right main wheel falling off. As I understand it, you need those round things to land planes. As you can imagine, Maggie’s heart sank as panic swept over her body. Who can blame her? But as the situation with a novice pilot was at its most dire, the young pilot steadied her nerves, and focused on the basics, ultimately landing without suffering any injury.
