In September 2023, 51-year-old Fidel Sanchez-Banuelos was fatally stabbed on a Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus in Denver. According to 9NEWS, the attack was unprovoked. The suspect allegedly paid the $5 fare, then headed to the back of the bus where the attack took place. Police arrived on the scene just after 5AM, yet Sanchez-Banuelos succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Today’s challenge coin story comes from someone who actually saw the stabbing that day, and attempted to help the victim. I’ll let Calev tell his harrowing tale.
