Candice Caesar is a powerful woman with a powerful name. Like the other Caesar you’ve likely heard of, she’s come to find that experience is the teacher of all things. Her life has been full of experiences – some difficult, some unforeseen, but all inspiring. All lessons learned on the path to a full and rewarding life.
Experience taught Candice that the Army would give her a career she could be proud of. Experience taught her that the ability to walk shouldn’t be taken for granted. Experience taught her that running would save her in more ways than one and that it would also be the catalyst for more life-altering change. Experience taught her that she would have many labels in her life – veteran, mother, disabled athlete, survivor, Paralympian hopeful – and that “hero” would encapsulate them all.
Experience taught her that she’s a total badass.
