20 Years Later the Georgia Boys of Cartel Are Still Pioneering Pop Punk

If you’re unfamiliar with pop punk rockers Cartel, there’s no better time than the present to jump on this bandwagon. Formed in 2003 at the height of the renaisSCENEce (as I’m calling it), the boys from Georgia made waves in the music industry fairly quickly.
After releasing their first EP The Ransom in November of 2004, Cartel was right back in the studio recording their first full-length album the very next year.
On the heels of being named to the Alternative Press ‘Bands You Need To Know’, the guys released Chroma in September of 2005. That brings us to today. 20 years later and I had the privilege of sitting down with the band to talk all things Cartel.
