The world of dating is full of nightmarish stories. Going on a first date that isn’t horrific is actually a pleasant surprise. Because what could go wrong on a date? Pretty much everything. Yes, there’s a lot of fish in the sea, but that does not make them normal fish. Most people have at least a handful of bad date stories before they were lucky enough to find someone they don’t hate. If I compiled all of the terrible dating stories I’ve heard just from people I know, I could write a truly cringy book of cautionary tales.
