I’ve always said the internet is capable of both great and terrible things. The same person who can help raise funds for an orphan cause, a charity, or even an invention that could help make the world a better place, can also start a GoFundMe page for the most selfish of desires.
Thankfully, it is up to the rest of the world to decide the validity of such requests, which is the case of when the internet got wind of a man who decided that the public should pay for his girlfriend’s $15,000 engagement ring. You heard me right. The man doesn’t just want to raise money for an adorable little ring, according to his logic, the more people raise for a blinged-out wedding ring the more “proud” they should be of their contributions. That’s sound logic if you’re mentally unstable, I suppose.
It’s a bold move to say the least.
