It’s the film everybody’s talking about right now ‘Hardcore Henry,’ which opens nationwide April 8th. The protagonist of the film is never seen but instead the audience views the world, and the movie, through his eyes. John and I were sold immediately. The fact that the films’ star (other than Henry himself) Sharlto Copley and writer/director Ilya Naishuller invited us to a private screening then arrived at theCHIVE office ready to answer all of our curiosities about the film, was beyond cool.
Our gracious guests answered everything from how the cameraman was able to both film and act as the movies’ hero, to what it was like acting with a person donning a Go-Pro camera on his face, to just how dangerous the stunts were to perform. Sharlto recalled for us the time he was absolutely sure he accidentally killed a stuntman during filming. This podcast has a lot of great twists and turns.
So don’t walk, but RUN to watch ‘Hardcore Henry‘ which explodes into theaters on April 8th. You will be in for an experience unlike anything you have ever seen. Easiest promise I’ve ever made.
