Surprisingly its not shopped. He is a professional and he created this for an airburshing calss he teaches. Air brushing helps so there are no brush strokes, which heightens the realism. That, and years and years of experience.

Yeah that painting is like years old, and for those who don't believe it's a painting, just do a google search with Dru Blair…that guy is specialized in photorealistic painting and make an awesome work.
And you would surely be amazed of all that stuff you thought real or digital art, that's actually painted (like "matte painting", which is the art of painting photorealistic backgrounds for movies).

he may be an airbrush virtuoso or an excellent image editor. theres no argumentation that this is truly magnificent.
just to add to the argument. 1. as can be seen in 2nd pic it was done lifesize. 2. the pics on here clearly aren’t. Therefore 3. details such as individual hairs, pock marks on skin etc etc can’t be seen clearly. Besides these would have been handpainted using the finest of brushes.
