Coolest castle on earth?? You decide (22 Photos)

Been there…twice…shit my pants once; it was that awesome.

I’ve been there and it is. I love it, looks like it’s from a fairytale:)

Burg Eltz is just as nice, but the setting is not nearly as spectacular; Burg Eltz is set in some low, forested hills, and it’s hard to take a really great picture of it. It’s nearly impossible to take a bad picture of Neuschwanstein, or have a view of it that’s anything less than spectacular. Only Chenonceau and Mont St Michel (not really a castle) are as spectacular, in my book. The best true built-for-battle castle, IMHO, is Heidelberg.

its really worth the 3 hrs train ride from Munich, and i glad that i made the trip there, so nice, so un-real and yes, would really love to see it once again during winter time.

the outside is OK but it doesn't hold a candle to the inside of that castle its beyond awesome
