It's really cool how that works and it works the same way as regular lightening. . . As the smoke, ash, and other airborne particles rub against each other they create static electricity and thatt energy is released through lightening.. I probably described this terribly, go look it up

Apparently that’s the name of the glacier that covered the volcano, all those newsreaders struggling to prounonce the name shouldn’t have bothered.
Didn’t you guys know that the media changed the name to Kevin because they didn’t know how to pronounce Eyjafjallajökull lol

Iceland is still probably the cleanest country in the world, the ash falls on a quite small portion of the country.
Yes the eruption is large, yes it’s ruined a couple of farm lands right up by the glacier, but the ash is staying just around the volcano, there is a tiny amount in the air here in Reykjavik but it’s not noticeable visibly at all.
