i dont get it….none of these spots look like they are hurting for space…well most anyway….some appear to have plenty of room to grow…so what is the motivation behind these rather thin buildings?

Actually #20 is in Deerfield. I've been inside. What the pics don't show is that it's a triangle.

#6 #9 are buildings in london made up to cover up subway pass ways. behind it contains hole in the ground which were made so that underground subway can breathe……. i saw it in NGC

Could any Chiver who's an architect fill us in on just how structurally sound these buildings are?

A lot of times small houses like #1 #3 and #5 were sometimes built because before the houses were there they were alley ways where prostitutes would take their "clients" for "business". The people of the towns didnt like seeing this kind of thing and didnt want their children seeing it so they built these small houses to take up the alley way, so those sort of activities would be hidden.
