Friday, June 13th 22 Jump Street arrives in theaters. To celebrate we had colleges across the country compete in the Ultimate Raid Party for the rights to a massive 22 Jump Street Chive Meetup. Arizona State took it in a nail biter and Moonshine Whiskey Bar set the stage. Our AZ Chivers don’t mess around and we knew we were in for one helluva night. It turned out to be just that.
We have a long history with the 22 Jump Street Cast and crew. A little history here….
Sony Studios turned us loose on Las Vegas for the first 21 Jump Street. It was one of the best meetups we ever hosted. We flash mobbed Las Vegas Blvd. to help raise money for Locks of Love and played lingerie beer pong with handcuffs n’ stuff.
Then when Channing Tatum opened his new bar, Saints and Sinners on Bourbon St. in New Orleans, he invited us and the Chive Community down to help blow the doors off the joint to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Channing’s a humble guy, a good friend, and a long-time Chiver.
Pre-gaming. That’s our friend Kat by the way.
Before the meetup we had dinner with pro golfer Ricky Barnes to present him with a check for $5,000 on behalf of Chive Nation for his charity, Ricky and Suzanne Barnes Foundation. Ricky was an overweight child and his foundation promotes the mental and physical well being of children, encouraging them to develop an active lifestyle to boost self-esteem and confidence.
