Hailing from Ottowa Canada, Mathew Perry grew up attending the same middle school as now Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. As much as his character from Friends (Chandler) was loved, he had a bit of a jealous side to him through his elementary years as he admitted on a recent visit to the Kimmel show.
According to Perry, he informed Kimmel that he “beat up” Trudeau with a friend because they were jealous of all the attention he was getting as his boxing skills progressed for the middle school’s team. As much as this sounds like a classic case of bullying, the actor wanted to clear the air.
“I’m not bragging about this, this [is] terrible. I was a stupid kid. I didn’t want to beat him up. In fact at one point I think I tried to turn it into a love play. But I think I was instrumental to him going to such great heights and becoming the prime minister,” Perry then joked.
Over the weekend, Trudeau was aware of Perry’s comments and just like any bad-ass Prime Minister skilled in the art of boxing, he called him out on social media for a rematch.
Perry, unsurprisingly declined the ass whooping.
Twitter got a kick out Perry with his tail between his legs.
I guess Trudeau could always have the Mounties tune him up a little.
