Now that the weather is warming up, chances are you’re going to cash in some of that earned vacation and raise two middle fingers to everyone left behind and leave the country for some Rn’R. And chances are, that vacation is going to include a hotel stay. While now you can customize your stay in most hotels, pick your star rating and whatnot, there’s one thing you can’t control – the germs that are hiding in the room. Yep, no matter how much hotel rooms say they wipe down surfaces, in actuality, they don’t really.
Travelmath, a travel site that helps you to calculate distances, time and costs, has put together an infographic on the dirtiest surfaces in your hotel room. Taking a look at 9 different hotels, across 36 different samples, they found out that you should probably wear gloves and a a mask no matter where you go.
There’s nothing sexier than a biohazard suit on a tropical beach.
