Stan Lee’s Inspiration
He may be genetically bonded with a spider, but the inspiration for Spider-Man came from a fly. While brainstorming his next big addition to the Marvel universe, Lee watched a fly crawl up the wall of his office. He immediately decided he needed a hero with this ability. After several other failed naming attempts, he settled on Spider-Man.
