Unless you’re a scientist or a medical doctor, we really don’t know the proper names of things, do we? I mean, when you have gas and it comes up, we say things like belch, burp. When it goes the other way, there’s a whole list of names for passing gas that are worthy of a post to themselves. But do you ever wonder, late at night, when you can’t sleep, what the proper name for your bodily noises should be?
As it turns out, the English language is pretty rich with medical, formal and latin-sounding words for just about the most basic of things.
Lemme know if you any of these before today. I sure didn’t.
