Like cake-flavored vodka? Then you’re gonna love garbage-cake flavored vodka!
That’s right. A San Diego-based company known as Misadventure Distillery is on the cutting edge of vodka-making. They make it out of unused bakery goods.
So by “the cutting edge” I obviously mean “they take the old bread out of the garbage and then make it into something Russian people drink to numb the pain of living in Russia.”
Vodka.
Trying to make it sound better for all of us here in Freedomland, the company says they “use pot distillation and carbon filtration to remove excess impurities and smooth out flavor.” Sounds great. But did I mention it’s unused bread stuff? Can’t quite get my brain around that.
I’m 100% for making alcohol out of things (especially if you do it in a bath tub), but I think if you want to make the world a better place, you should probably start by giving unused baked goods to the homeless and/or the starving. Or I guess you could give them this vodka too. I don’t know. I left a life of politics for this very reason.
One Fermented Old Loaf Juice please.
