When it comes to remakes, I always find myself wondering why it’s necessary, if the original one was well received. For me, most horror films delivered exactly what was promised in their original format, while the remake just tried too hard to be ‘edgy’ and just feel flat. So why bother?
Based on these numbers, I’ll guess it’s for the money. Though, I’ll admit, some of these did add some cool new things to the franchise, and are definitely worth a watch. Others, not so much. I’m looking at you The Haunting & 13 Ghosts.
