Grumpy Cat, one of the first viral memes and arguably most popular cat on the internet, passed away earlier this week due to complications from a urinary tract infection.
Her owner took to Twitter this morning and announced that the 7-year-old had peacefully passed away in her arms. You can read her owner’s full statement below.
