It’s been well chronicled now, but in 2014 when Playboy tried to buy theCHIVE, I remember thinking that if I decided I didn’t want to live in the Playboy Mansion, I was going to built something truly special in Texas, a hideaway unlike any that had ever been built.
In the end I decided that I liked my Chive community too much and if I was forever known as “The Chive Guy” that was just fine with me. Being the new Hefner was far less appealing to me than you’d think. However, having a house built for nothing but a good party always appealed to me.
So we set out on a project to build theCHIVE’s Secret Playhouse, Gatsby South. Of all the parties we throw at Gatz, there’s one signature party, theCHIVE’s annual 4th of July Party. Here’s a look at the sexiest party in all of Austin, Texas…
